Tutorial: Creating RGB Mattes for Materials in Cinema 4D and Compositing in After Effects

By June 5, 2014 June 6th, 2014 Blog

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to utilize RGB mattes for Materials in Cinema 4D and then composite them in After Effects.

**Note: If you have access to the Vray renderer, then you can most likely use Material ID’s for mattes since Vray allows that. If you do not have Vray or any other 3rd party renderer for Cinema 4D that has the ability to render Material ID’s, then this RGB matte workflow may be useful to get multiple mattes with one RGB render pass.
